Oncology has three branches namely Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, and Radiation Oncology. Medical Oncology treats cancer using medications such as chemotherapy and targeted therapy. In Surgical Oncology, solid cancerous tumours are removed by surgery. In Radiation Oncology cancerous tumors are treated using ionising radiation.
